Colombia, Manos Juntas

A Natural Processed Colombian that we feel perfectly highlights the sweet complexity of a natural processed coffee. Developed by Cafe Imports and Banexport, Manos Juntas is a pilot program aimed at helping improve the coffee grown in the Castillo region by buying the highest quality coffees above the average rate,  paying upon delivery so the farmers aren’t left waiting for payment, and building their production facility locally with the surrounding farms to save farmers the long trips in to town. This structure allows Cafe Imports and Banexport to assume all of the risk involved with processing and selling the coffee and guarantees equitable payment to the farmers. They hope to replicate this program in other remote regions of Colombia where great coffee is often over looked or isn’t able to meet its highest potential.
